I was introduced to the concept of lemon water during a meditation retreat. No meals were to be taken after 12pm, and to combat the gastric juices in the stomach; lemon water was given to students.
Initially I was surprised as I always thought lemon juice was acidic. It was only with further research that I found out that lemon water actually alkalizes the blood and provides an ideal pH condition for the body! In an alkaline condition, your body flourishes, and cancerous cells cannot grow.
